This week we have been talking about the Progressive Era. We have discussed the regualtion of big business and other progressive ideas like Prohibition.  Teddy Roosevelt is one of the Progressive presidents we have been talking about.

Week 2: A New Industrial Age

This week we have started Chapter 6 on Industrialization.  We have been learning about the new inventions and what other technological advancements have been occurring.

Week 1: Changes in the Western Frontier

This week we are looking at western expansion in the United States.  There was a big movement by pioneers to move out West to find land and other natural resources.  We have also been learning about the cowboys and Native Americans.

Welcome Class!

ATTENTION 10th Graders in Ms. Rathge's U.S. History Class:


First, I would like to welcome you to our class blog.  I wanted to do a class blog this year so I can provide you with more useful information/materials and get the whole class more involved not only at school but from home.  There will be discussion questions, links, photos, assignments, power points, and study guides available to you via the Internet.
